Profile was founded in 1993 here in Traverse City as a secure storage facility for confidential documents that had retention requirements by government agencies.
The company has expanded our services through the years to include, shredding, scanning and microfilming, online storage and recently tape rotation utilizing our new media vault.
Everything starts with clean, dry storage racks that presently hold tens of thousand of file boxes from the healthcare, banking, accounting, law offices and most business operations. We then index the box with a bar code, upload the contents onto our server and then store the container onto a bar-coded location. This allows us to locate any box within minutes and have the box or its contents available to be delivered, picked up, faxed or scanned and emailed.
If the customer wants added convenience, we can either scan the documents to a disk and/or upload to our online program “Filegofer” for constant access to your organized records.
Once the retention period has expired we can pull the documents from storage and safely and securely shred and recycle them. Profile guarantees an “unbroken chain of custody” in keeping your confidential documents safe. We shred the documents, bale them and then send them directly to a recycling partner.
We belong to multiple trade associations including NAID, PRISMand ARMA, all in an effort to stay in the forefront of best practices in our industry. Profile is a member of local Chambers of Commerce and we support many community projects especially as it relates to recycling and the environment.
